

Ã×À¼ÌåÓýat the 2025 ISA Convention in Chicago

Ã×À¼ÌåÓýwill be present at the International Studies Association (ISA) in Chicago, USA. The 66th edition will be held from 2-5 March 2025 under the theme Reconnecting International Studies.

Ã×À¼ÌåÓýPast President Dianne Pinderhughes will chair the panel titled Issues of Democratic Participation: Elections and Governance Across World Geographic Regions on 3 March 2025 from 8:30 to 10:30 am. Ã×À¼ÌåÓýPast President Marianne Kneuer will also take part in the panel which brings together experts to examine electoral participation and outcomes across various world regions. In light of an unprecedented number of national elections taking place in 2024 – including in South Africa, India, the USA, the UK, Mexico, Ghana, Mozambique, Senegal, Brazil, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Pakistan, Taiwan, Croatia, and Italy – the discussion will explore regional trends, voter engagement, and the acceptance or contestation of election results.
