The roundtable will showcase selected chapters from the book The nexus between climate change, human security and politics: A global comparative study (Palgrave), which provides a critical analysis of the nexus between climate change, human security, and politics. The book explores the roles of states, corporations, military, financial institutions, and community organizations in responding to climate change through various forms of leverage. It delves into the ongoing debates on climate security, highlighting the competing narratives and political contestations at different levels. This book is a product of the previous 米兰体育International Congress held in Argentina two years ago and has been carried out by the RC 52 Climate Security and Planetary Politics. By examining the complex relationships between climate change and human security, the book aims to redefine the discourse on climate security and its implications for governance, development, and sustainability.
