When dealing with unstructured text, whether it is interview transcripts, social media, news, reports, or public policy, several approaches can be used to extract information from these sources. This session will provide an overview of QDA Miner 2025, a qualitative data analysis and mixed methods tool, and WordStat, a quantitative content analysis and text mining software. Normand P茅ladeau will cover their main features and discuss the conditions under which one tool might be used over the other, as well as some of the benefits of using them together.
The 45-minute session will conclude with an interactive Q&A session, allowing participants to engage directly with Normand P茅ladeau and gain deeper insights into text analysis.
